Earl Scott
Vice President

Earl started his career in Calgary, in a completions supervisor training program and supervised completion and fracing operations in the Grande Prairie and Fort St. John areas. He completed the Exxon drilling engineering training program and worked as a drilling engineer throughout western Canada and offshore Malaysia.

As the Well Engineering Manager for Sedco Forex, Earl’s team provided technical support to the company’s global drilling operations, providing operators with cost reduction initiatives and technical solutions for complex drilling problems. After managing a Drilling & Completions team in Ecuador for AECI International (AEC/EnCana) Earl transferred to Houston as the Global Drilling Manager.

Returning to Canada, he took on the role of Drilling & Completions Manager for the British company, BG Group. BG focused its effort on drilling horizontal wells in the deep basin and foothills regions. After BG Group divested its Canadian operations, Earl relocated to Australia to manage PetroFrontier’s drilling program and completed the first multistage horizontal frac program in Australia.

Earl believes that high performing drilling teams have a culture of continuous improvement, value technical excellence and maintain a high level of operational integrity.
